As a Property Caretaker at Beacon Destinations, you'll be the hands-on guardian of our Cape Cod vacation homes, ensuring every property is guest-ready, well maintained, and cared for to the highest standards. You'll perform property inspections, light maintenance, preventative upkeep, and occasional guest support while working independently across a portfolio of homes.

Complete detailed inspections before guest and homeowner arrivals.
Ensure homes are clean, safe, fully stocked, and guest-ready.
Perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs including changing light bulbs, adjusting doors, unclogging drains, replacing batteries, and other routine tasks.
Identify maintenance issues and coordinate larger repairs with vendors and management.
Respond professionally to guest and homeowner questions, service requests, and maintenance concerns.
Assist with escalated issues alongside the Operations team to ensure timely resolution.
Support onboarding of new properties by assisting inspections, setup, and quality standards.
Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and guest experience.
Collaborate across departments to support changing business needs.

Minimum 1 year experience required in housekeeping, maintenance or property inspection role
Vacation rental, hotel, or hospitality experience strongly preferred.
Comfortable performing basic home maintenance and troubleshooting common household issues.
Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize changing workloads.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Comfortable using smartphones, mobile apps, and digital work order systems.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team.
Reliable transportation and willingness to travel throughout Cape Cod daily.
Available to work weekends, holidays, evenings, and flexible schedules based on business needs.
Able to lift up to 50 pounds and perform the physical requirements of the role.
Experience working with vacation rentals or residential property management.
Interest in real estate, hospitality, home improvement, or short-term rentals.
Basic handyman, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, or maintenance experience.
Earn up to $2,000 annually based on guest satisfaction scores, property performance, and overall portfolio quality.

This position follows the seasonal nature of Cape Cod hospitality.
Peak Season (June-August): Approximately 40 hours per week.
Shoulder Seasons (March-May & September-December): Approximately 20 hours per week.
Hours may vary based on occupancy levels, weather, maintenance priorities, and guest needs.
The Property Caretaker supports an assigned portfolio of vacation rental properties with responsibilities including all aspects of property management, including owner and guest relations, maintenance, and housekeeping. Supports cross-functionally across the team.
Assists in the daily operations of the assigned portfolio of homes. Identify areas for improvement, assisting managers in process enhancements to drive efficiency and quality outcomes.
Support the team with escalated guest and homeowner concerns by responding to emails, calls and tickets.
Perform light home maintenance (light bulbs, fix door hinges, unclog a toilet, etc).
Conduct regular inspections prior to guest and owner arrivals.
Works to resolve guest and homeowner concerns by responding to emails, calls and tickets. Partners with the management team on escalated issues.
Partners and assists your Business Development Representative and management team when new units join the portfolio.
Supports cross-functionally across the team as needed.

Minimum 1 year experience required in housekeeping, maintenance or property inspection role required
Experience working in hotel, hospitality, vacation or similar industry is highly preferred.
Excellent time management skills with the ability to change activity frequently and cope with interruptions.

Tech-savvy with experience using various digital systems and applications and comfortable using mobile apps, tablets, and various software platforms.
This role involves frequent travel between worksites, so reliable personal transportation is essential.

Must be dependable, self-motivated, and able to work independently while contributing positively to a collaborative team environment.
Comfortable talking to people, online or in person and being able to share information in a way that’s clear, thoughtful, and represents the company in a positive way always.
Workplace Environment + Physical Requirements
Work may take place indoors or outdoors, in a variety of settings including private homes, often in varying weather conditions.
We’re in hospitality and our schedules can change based on guest and homeowner needs. Shifts may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays. We require flexibility to support this.
Reliable transportation required.
Regular travel anywhere on Cape Cod.
Ability to move freely (balancing, climbing, crawling, driving, squatting, standing, stooping, walking, bending, pushing, pulling, reaching, and repetitive hand/finger motions) and lift up to a maximum of fifty (50) pounds without assistance.
Has an interest in owning and operating short-term rentals.
