Position Summary

We're looking for a hands-on Property Maintenance / Inspector to join our team in Central Oregon. This role is ideal for someone with solid general maintenance skills who enjoys troubleshooting, working independently, and taking pride in keeping vacation rental properties in excellent condition.

You'll be our eyes and ears in the field, performing property inspections while also identifying, troubleshooting, and completing maintenance repairs. This position requires someone who can recognize an issue, determine what needs to be done, and handle common repairs on the spot whenever possible.

We're looking for someone comfortable with a wide range of general property maintenance, including basic plumbing and electrical, appliances, TVs and Wi-Fi, locks and doors, furniture repairs, BBQs and propane, minor carpentry, hardware, fixtures, and general household repairs.

Attention to detail is also important. You'll help make sure every home is safe, functional, properly maintained, fully stocked, and guest ready. We want someone who notices the things others might miss and takes initiative to resolve issues before they impact a guest or homeowner.

Responsibilities

• Complete general property maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting

• Diagnose and resolve common plumbing, electrical, appliance, lock, door, furniture, and household maintenance issues

• Perform minor carpentry, hardware, fixture, and property repairs

• Troubleshoot TVs, Wi-Fi, remotes, appliances, and other guest-use equipment

• Inspect BBQs, propane, outdoor areas, and property equipment for proper operation and safety

• Perform pre-arrival and post-departure property inspections

• Identify and document damages, maintenance needs, safety concerns, and housekeeping issues

• Complete repairs during inspections whenever possible

• Create, update, and complete maintenance work orders

• Ensure properties meet Arrived's guest readiness and maintenance standards

• Coordinate with operations, housekeeping, owner services, and guest services when additional repairs or vendor support are needed

• Occasionally assist with urgent guest-related maintenance issues in the field

Required Qualifications

• General property maintenance, handyman, construction, or related experience preferred

• Working knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical, appliances, carpentry, and household repairs

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

• Ability to safely use basic hand and power tools

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

• Comfortable using mobile apps to document inspections, repairs, photos, and work orders

• Ability to work independently and prioritize maintenance needs in the field

• Ability to work in varying indoor and outdoor conditions

• Reliable transportation and valid driver's license required

Compensation

• Contract Rate: $30 per hour

• Employment Type: 1099 Independent Contractor

• This is a contract position; the contractor is responsible for applicable taxes, insurance, and other obligations associated with independent contractor status.
