We are seeking a skilled Handyman to join our team in Longwood, FL. This hands-on role is perfect for someone who thrives on variety and enjoys tackling different maintenance challenges each day. You'll be the go-to problem solver, using your technical expertise and practical skills to keep our properties running smoothly. From plumbing repairs to electrical work, painting to carpentry, you'll apply your craftsmanship to ensure our facilities are safe, functional, and well-maintained. Repair doors, ceilings, hand railings, and floors and other general repairs, adjustments, and installations about the property
Perform repairs to plumbing fixtures (water closets, urinals, flush valve assemblies, lavatories)
Replace lamps, light fixtures and ballasts
Clean/paint sidewalks, streets, parking lots, warehouse fronts, riser rooms, telephone rooms, roof drains, etc.
Reinstall or replace signage, verify rooms are clean and clear of obstructions and debris
Change out bad ceiling tiles
Do drywall, door, locks, cabinets, wall-covering, baseboard and other repairs
Check for operating emergency exit signs and lights and ensure free and clear access to emergency stairs and exits
Document and report activities to supervisor
Respond immediately to emergency situations (fire, evacuation, equipment failure, etc.) and tenant concerns
Inspect Buildings during inclement weather
Additional duties as assigned
Tool Proficiency: Ability to safely use, maintain, and troubleshoot various hand and power tools
Problem Solving: The ability to diagnose issues, assess what repairs are needed, and complete tasks with minimal supervision
Physical Ability: Must be able to stand for long shifts, bend, reach, climb ladders, and lift/carry heavy items (usually 30-50 pounds)
Safety Compliance: Familiarity with OSHA safety protocols and willingness to use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
Ability to read and comprehend labels and written instructions
Ability to communicate
High School degree or equivalent preferred
Must have a clean background
