POSITION SUMMARY:
We are seeking an experienced Director of Housekeeping to lead our housekeeping team, ensuring all properties are exceptionally clean, properly appointed, and guest-ready. RESPONSIBILITIES:
Recruit, onboard, and develop housekeeping staff, including supervisors, to enhance team skills, performance, and efficiency
Develop and implement structured training programs to ensure consistent onboarding, skill development, and service standards
Create and manage cleaning schedules to ensure timely turnovers and optimal staffing
Oversee daily housekeeping operations, ensuring all tasks are completed to Aspen Vacations’ quality standards
Motivate the team through recognition and accountability, addressing performance issues when necessary
Conduct regular property inspections to uphold cleanliness and presentation standards, promptly addressing any deficiencies
Monitor and manage inventory of linens, cleaning supplies, and equipment, proactively sourcing and replenishing as needed
Perform inventory checks to verify household items and amenities are in place, in excellent condition, and replaced as needed
Implement and uphold cleaning protocols that ensure consistency, safety, and sanitation across all properties
Ensure prompt reporting of maintenance issues and follow up to confirm timely resolution
Coordinate with guest services and operations teams for seamless arrivals, departures, special requests, and deliveries
Respond proactively to guest and owner requests, resolving issues with professionalism and urgency
Accurately bill owners for additional housekeeping services and replacement items
Participate in leadership meetings, contributing insights and recommendations to improve operations and guest experience
Communicate professionally with owners and guests to understand preferences, resolve concerns, and build trust
Foster open communication and a positive team culture focused on continuous improvement
QUALIFICATIONS:
5+ years of housekeeping management experience in high-end vacation rentals, luxury hotels, or resorts
Deep understanding of luxury service standards and guest expectations
Strong leadership and problem-solving abilities, especially under pressure
Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and housekeeping/property management software
Proven success managing and training a housekeeping team to 5-star standards
Experience recruiting, onboarding, and conducting staff evaluations
Experience developing and implementing training programs
Vendor management experience (suppliers, laundry services, etc.)
Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage with guests, owners, vendors, and staff
Ability to create and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
Budgeting and cost control experience for housekeeping operations
Bilingual in English and Spanish required
Physical Requirements:

Regularly push, pull, and lift objects up to 25 pounds
Flexibility to bend, stoop, squat, kneel, and twist

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:
Annual Salary: $90,000 to $120,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications, with opportunity for additional performance incentives.

Schedule: Available to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
Hire, supervise, develop, and train housekeeping personnel; create and implement a comprehensive training program.
Schedule housekeeping duties, manage the cleaning schedule for all properties, and assist in cleaning and onboarding new properties when required.
Ensure the highest standards of cleanliness across all properties, conduct regular inspections for quality control, and update property documents, including cleaning instructions.
Oversee inventory, manage sourcing and ordering, and ensure timely distribution and delivery of supplies to properties.
Respond to and address complaints, ensuring overall guest and homeowner satisfaction.
Clearly communicate housekeeping policies, standards, and procedures to staff; actively participate in team meetings and collaborate with other departments.
Assist in bi-weekly payroll, report maintenance issues, and work on continuous updates to housekeeping procedures and documentation.
1+ years of experience supervising a cleaning crew with 3+ years of cleaning experience
Able to create positive experiences in every interaction, including guests, homeowners, team members, contractors and vendors.
Able to represent the company with professionalism and integrity and work well under pressure
Basic computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize urgent matters.
Possess extremely high standards for degree of quality and impeccable attention to detail.
