Own and execute the tiered relationship-building strategy above
• Identify and onboard new referral sources/networks the firm doesn’t currently have relationships with, not just maintaining existing ones
• Track every touchpoint in CRM, visit, contact, outcome, next step. Non-negotiable, daily
• Report weekly on leading indicators (new contacts made, meetings held, relationship stage progression) and lagging indicators (referrals received, cases originated, case value)
• Represent brand consistently at community/industry events
• Coordinate with intake team so referral sources get fast, visible feedback processes
• Maintain a live account/relationship map showing where each key contact sits in the funnel. aware - engaged - active referrer – top partner - dormant
• Quarterly market expansion plan (Rocks): identify 1-2 new large projects and plans, geographic or vertical segments to penetrate, not just deepen existing turf
Metrics & Goals
Leading indicators weekly:
• New contacts/relationships initiated
• Meetings/visits by tier- to catch tier-drift
• CRM touchpoint logging compliance
Lagging indicators monthly/quarterly:
• Number of referred cases by source
• Case value/quality by source. Ex. A body shop referring small accidents vs. a Dr.Webb referring serious injury cases, not all referrals are equal.
• New referral sources converted to active status in CRM
• Retention, dripping, cultivation, engagement and reactivation of valued dormant contacts
4. Reporting Cadence
• Weekly CRM review with Team Lead
• Monthly pipeline/relationship map review
• Quarterly market expansion and goal rollout session
Proven track record in B2B relationships, referral development. This could be legal, medical, pharma, or insurance sales experience will transfer well
• Comfortable with CRM discipline — daily logging isn’t optional, and we want someone who’s used to being measured- competitive nature
• Can speak concretely about a referral network they built from scratch, with numbers (not “I know a lot of people”)
